The Kenyan U19 Lacrosse women team had earlier this week taken in a major tournament, apparently without appropriate game gear.
The team was in Israel, for the World's Championship tournament. It lost 13-4 to the hosts.
The following day, however, the Kenyans cheered the Israel team who responded by rewarding new pairs of cleats. Cleats are protrusions on shoe soles used when playing Lacrosse.
In a spirit of gratitude, the Kenyan team later took on Twitter to thank their opponents.
"Yesterday we played @Israel_Lacrosse and had no cleats ... after supporting their game today, Israel surprised the whole Team on the sideline with brand new cleats!! 🇮🇱❤️" reads the tweet which received a global reaction.
"No one will remember the score, everyone will remember how this made them feel," one of the Twitter users noted.
You may wonder what lacrosse is. Well, according to Wikipedia, it is a game played using the head of lacrosse stick to carry, pass, catch and shoot the ball into the goal.
Players have to put on protective gear, including gloves and helmets. It has four versions that have different sticks, fields, rules and equipment.
