Popular Kenyan gospel musician Ringtone has released a new song dubbed 'Walionicheka' featuring Tanzanian gospel songstress Rose Muhando.
The new song has attracted a lot of attention earning more than 7,000 views and 200 comments within 2 hours of its premier on YouTube.
The song seems to be a surprise as Ringtone had not popularised it prior to its release.
The controversial musician who is known for pulling publicity stunts before releasing his songs remained silent on this one, and only made the announcement on Wednesday evening a few hours to its release.
"Tomorrow @ 10am Rose Muhando X Ringtone, East African Gospel queen will be back," RIngtone announced on Wednesday evening.
'Walionicheka' is a praise song which expresses gratitude to God for not abandoning his people.
It seems inspired by Rose Muhando's life story as she experienced a lot of challenges that saw her disappear from the limelight despite being one of the region's top gospel musicians.
In the song, she narrates the challenges and hardships she has gone through but finally emerged victorious.
The new song is viewed as Muhando's comeback into the gospel music industry.
