Amani National Congress (ANC) nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi has accused party leader Musalia Mudavadi of engineering his woes within the party.
Osotsi was recently expelled by the party over alleged disloyalty to the political outfit before the attempt was thwarted by the Registrar of Political Parties.
This comes only months after he was ousted from the party's secretary general post which was then given to Barrack Muluka, a decision he has since appealed in court.
Osotsi now says that Mudavadi is the man behind his woes, claiming that the former deputy prime minister is using his powers and followers to frustrate his stay in the party.
Speaking on Milele FM's Kivumbi show on Wednesday morning, Osotsi dared Mudavadi to come clear on his plans and stop beating around the bush, adding that he should instead face him head on and battle him openly.
"Ningependa kumwambia Mudavadi kama anataka kupigana na mimi akuje kwangu. Awache kutumia akina Muluka na Dan Ameyo. (I want to tell Mudavadi if he has issues with me let him face me and stop using the likes of Muluka and Dan Ameyo)," he said.
The lawmaker who has been bashed by a section of ANC's members over his alleged rudeness and hostility towards the party's leadership, termed Mudavadi a poor leader who has been unable to coordinate the party, leading to unending wrangles and disagreements between members.
Osotsi said that the issues started immediately after the 2017 elections, when Mudavadi failed to handle nomination matters, resulting in division within the opposition bloc.
"Yeye alishindwa kuhandle maneno ya nomination baada ya uchaguzi wa 2017. Hapo ndio nilijua hana uongozi (He failed to handle the issue of nominations after the 2017 polls. That is when I realised he lacks the qualities of a good leader)," he added.
However, Mudavadi has steered clear of the issue, with Muluka being the one responding to Osotsi publicly.
