Former Turbo Member of Parliament (MP) Elisha Busienei has downplayed the move by billionaire politician Zedekiah Bundotich alias Buzeki to abandon Deputy President William Ruto.
Busienei argued that Buzeki's move is a political miscalculation that will hamper his future political ambitions.
In a phone interview on Friday, Busienei said that Buzeki is being misled by political brokers.
He noted that the business mogul could later regret his decision to abandon the Deputy President.
"It is a miscalculation that is likely to hinder his (Buzeki's) future political ambitions," said Busienei on Friday.
The politician asked Buzeki to consider his political move and avoid political brokers who are out to fulfil their own selfish interests.
The former MP, however, said that Buzeki has every right to make his own political decisions.
"The constitution gives every Kenyan the freedom to make decisions and Buzeki has decided on what he thinks is good for himself," he added.
On Thursday, Buzeki said that he is not associated with the 'Tanga Tanga' or 'Kieleweke' factions of the Jubilee Party.
"The time has come for me to consider other alternatives. I'm in neither the 'Kieleweke' group nor the 'Tanga Tanga' team," Buzeki said on Thursday.
Buzeki unsuccessfully vied for the Uasin Gishu governor seat in the 2017 general election.
He, however, is likely to make another attempt in the upcoming 2022 general election.
There are claims that he could join Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party led by former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto.
Buzeki's move has elicited mixed reactions with Kiambu based political analyst Peter Ngure terming it a political blunder.
