Sarah Wairimu, widow of slain Dutch tycoon Tob Cohen now wants to be allowed to run Tobs Kenya Golf Safaris, a company she claims she co-owned with her late husband.
Appearing before the High Court in Nairobi on Wednesday, as reported by K24, Wairimu who is the main suspect in the murder of Cohen said that the company risks collapsing if not in her hands.
She also wants the court to order the police to vacate their Kitisuru home in Nairobi, within whose compound Cohen was found murdered and hidden in a septic tank.
The application was opposed by state prosecutor Alexander Muteti who said that the house remains a crime scene.
He also rubbished Wairimu's lawyer Philip Murgor's claims that the prosecution has been coaching witnesses to pin Wairimu.
Muteti said that the prosecution will "supply the defence with handwritten statements" of the witnesses as proof.
He further opposed Wairimu's plea to be handed back her vehicle.
Wairimu also demanded the release of her dogs seized by the police, saying that the police took them away without any solid reason.
She argued that the presence of the police at the Kitisuru home "is giving undue advantage to Cohen's siblings" in their bid to take over Cohen's property.
