A man in Kisumu is regretting why he married a girl he met on Facebook, after the latter allegedly stole his Sony TV screen and Sh300,000.
The middle-aged man identified as Asili had traveled to Nakuru for business when her wife allegedly robbed him.
Asili noted that when he got back home on Wednesday, his wife was missing, and his “home bank” emptied.
.“I was away in Nakuru since Monday, and on my return I never found her. My Sh300,000 and a Sony TV are also missing. I have been trying to reach her on phone but its switched off,” Asili told Kondele police officers at the scene.
A research conducted by this writer established that the missing lady has her roots in Uganda, and had stayed with Asili for barely two months.
Speaking at his house, Asili claimed that the lady had been conducting herself in a way that could get anyone to trust him, except for one incident.
“Three weeks back, she excused herself at night and was engaged in a very long argument with a person on phone. I heard her say that she knew what she was doing,” he said before leaving with the police to record a statement.
