Kipyegon, a left back defender has been a key pillar in the Zoo Kericho defense-line and helped the team remain the topflight league.

His consistent, style of play and defense prowess attracted Leopards who had overtime struggled at the back line.

Zoo Kericho confirmed the completion of the deal on Kipyegon; and he becomes a second player to leave the Kericho based team in a week after the exit of its talisman Nicholas Kipkurui, who penned 4-years deal with Champs Gor Mahia.

At the same, Zoo will hope they don't lose their hitman; Mike Madoya, who is believed to be hunted by a number of teams including AFC Leopards.

Kipyegon signed a three-year contract with Ingwe.

"We can confirm the signing of Isaac Kipyegon from Zoo Kericho after the two parties have agreed to the deal. Kipyegon has penned down a three year deal with the club," said Dan Mule, AFC Leopards Chairman.

AFC Leopards has also confirmed that will sign more players before the season begins on 8th December, in a bid to beef up its defense, midfield and striking force.

Kipyegon acquisition is a boost to the den and it comes amid Leopards extension of contract to defender Salim Abdalla and Robinson Kamura and entrance of new coach Serbian Nikola Kavazovic.
