While citing six lives that have been lost in the area under unclear circumstances, the locals said they have tried to raise the matter with the local leaders and security agents including chiefs over the same but no action has been taken.

They have called on Cabinet Secretary Interior and National coordination Fred Matiang’i to step in and assure them of their security in the area.

“Insecurity is a big issue in the area yet we have chiefs and that is why we are telling President Uhuru Kenyatta to come to our rescue,” the resident said.

Former area MCA Paul Thuo also joined the locals in demanding that the government enhances security in the area.

He said it is so sad that the village has lost over six lives under unclear circumstances an issue he said the elected leaders in the area should look into urgently.

“We have insecurity in this area and I call on the elected leaders and the security team to ensure that the matter is solved,” said Mr.Thuo.

The locals have vowed not to relent until the matter is solved and they are assured of their security.
