A couple of politicians are already at the high court awaiting the bail ruling for journalist Jacque Maribe.
Maribe and her lover Joseph Irungu alias Jowie have been behind bars over the murder of 28-year-old businesswoman Monica Kimani.
Their ruling on bail was set for today by high court judge Justice James Wakiaga.
Among those already in court to show solidarity with Maribe is Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja, Dennis Itumbi and even Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata.
The high court is fully packed and a family source said they are ‘optimistic Maribe will be released on bail’.
Meanwhile, Governor Okoth Obado's supporters staged a celebration outside the high court after he was released on bail.
There were dance and songs in praise of the county chief.
Obado was released on a Sh5 million cash bail by Justice Jessie Lessit who was previously handling the Jacque and Jowie's case.
She recursed herself over unknown reasons.
