Star newspaper correspondent for Siaya Eric Oloo has been murdered in cold blood.

The body of the deceased was found at the house of his girlfriend, The Star reports. 

Police officers from the region have launched a manhunt for the suspected killers.

 The motive behind the act remains unclear.

Siaya County Police Commander Francis Kooli told the Nation that the journalist and the policewoman were in a love affair. He also did not elaborate.A police officer, who sought anonymity for lack of authority to speak to the media, said Mr Oloo was in the house with two men on Wednesday night.
