Former South Mugirango Member of Parliament Omingo Magara has attacked elected leaders in Nyamira and Kisii counties for failing to champion for development.
Magara argued that Gusii residents will continue suffering until 2022 when they will have a chance to make good choices again.
"It is sad that there is no tangible development being witnessed for the last one year across the entire Gusii region. All elected leaders are lazy and busy embezzling public funds meant for development," he noted.
The vocal politician claimed that the electorates should not repeat the same mistakes made during the last year's polls in 2022 generation elections.
He further argued that Members of County Assembly (MCAs) in Nyamira and Kisii Counties have been colluding with their area governors to divert public funds to their pockets.
"MCAs have failed in their oversight role to ensure the county bosses are using money sent from the national government appropriately," noted Magara.
The ex-MP further dismissed claims that he is condemning the current elected leaders because he is in the political cold.
"I won't keep quiet because I didn't win an election. I am development oriented therefore, I don't feel happy when leaders misuse public funds," he added.
