Detectives probing the murder of Sharon Otieno seem to have decided to be slow but sure in bringing to book the killers of the university girl.
We can authoritatively reveal that journalist Barrack Oduor has been critical in apprehending suspects in the heinous act.
These are the suspects already behind bars
Michael Oyamo
This is the man who has been running errands for Governor Okoth Obado. He is a former military man.
He was the contact person between Sharon Otieno, the governor and also journalist Barrack Oduor. He is said to have been the last person to meet Oduor and Sharon before they were abducted.
Lawrence Mula
Mula is a former MCA for Kanyadoto ward in Homa Bay. He had been in contact with Governor Obado and Sharon Otieno as well as journalist Oduor.
At one point, he was given Sh80, 000 by Obado to take to Sharon.
Caspal Obiero
Caspal is the husband of a lady by the name of Olivia Oloo. Olivia is a blogger in the governor’s media unit. Her car, a Toyota Fielder, was the one used to abduct Oduor and Sharon. She said the car was with the husband, Caspal, on the day the abduction took place.
Okoth Omondi
Omondi is a police officer and a member of Obado’s security detail. He accompanied Obiero to Oyugi’s police station where he had been summoned to record a statement. It is said he caused a scene at the station forcing officers to disarm him. He was, together with Caspal, charged before a Kisii court as an accomplice in the murder.
Jackson Gombe
Gombe is the taxi man who operates with the Toyota Fielder in Migori town. The fielder that is owned by Olivia Oloo and which she said was with the husband on the day of the abduction.
A police source suspects are ‘talking’.
“At this rate, we are going to arrest the prime suspects who actually killed Sharon. The suspects are talking. They are naming possible accomplices to the kidnap and murder," said an officer.
