Water and Environment CEC Mary Njogu now says Uasin Gishu County government  is poised to ensure that there is  water provision to all schools across the County.

According to a post on the County government of Uasin Gishu Facebook Page  this comes in handy as the County's administration led by Governor Jackson Madago, is working towards all public facilities are equiped with enough water.

 “Before the end of next year, all schools will have enough water which will in turn create the best learning environment four children,” said Njogu.

Njogu spoke during ECDE Cheques distribution  in Moiben  on Tuesday.

“This will ensure that students  and pupils get clean water which will prevent them from being affected by water borne diseases.We want them to always be in school,” added the CEC environment.

On her side, Cooperatives CEC Esther Mutai said that through her department, the County aims at empowering its residents which translates to a successful society thus making the school going children prosperous.

This she said will be achieved through the residents joining cooperative societies, citing MoiSoy as the nearest and most lucrative venture that is closest to them.

Education Chief Officer Jane Njuguna who was in attendance stated that the department will construct enough class units that will favour all schools even those with a high enrollment.

“I advise the committee members responsible for construction to follow the guidelines to make their work easier for the classes to be completed,” said Njuguna.
