West Pokot Governor Professor Prof John Lonyangapuo has urged social media users to be mindful of what they post online, especially anything that pertains to leaders in this country.
The first-term governor said a section of social media users have taken it upon themselves to belittle various leaders, among them President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy Willaim Ruto.
“I see the leadership of this country occasionally taken for granted, attacked by this Kingdom called social media,” said tLonyangapuo while being featured on Citizen TV’s Newsmakers segment on Friday.
“The President is reduced to something small. The Deputy President is like a small thing. Governors look like mosquitoes. We should not forget the element of peace that comes as a result of stable leadership,” he added.
Dubbed as the most hilarious governor due to his numerous funny political undertones, Lonyangapuo says he does not consider himself funny at all.
“I am not aware and it has not occurred to me that I am humorous. It is my nature, I drive my points home the way I do and it sinks to the mind of a man that what this man says is this,” says the Professor of mathematics.
The former West Pokot Senator is an alumnus of the St Mary’s Yala, in Siaya County.
