A section of NASA leaders in Nyamira County have reacted following a planned Jubilee Party meeting scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
The meeting will among other things address concerns brought about by the newly found alliance between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA Chief Raila Odinga.
The Jubilee meeting comes after some leaders within the party claimed that Raila is out to divide the ruling party after the historic Uhuru-Raila handshake in March.
West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi Mogaka claimed that Raila has nothing to do with Jubilee party collapsing.
“Jubilee leaders should stop dragging Raila into their wrangles. Most of the Jubilee party leaders are power hungry and therefore, they should solve their problems alone without involving other people,” he said.
Mogaka said Jubilee politicians must respect the handshake between Raila and Uhuru which changed the political landscape in the country.
Borabu MP Ben Momanyi said Jubilee’s meeting must address the challenges facing Kenyans and not discussing Raila.
“This is not the time to accuse one another about the collapsing of the ruling party but it is time to ensure challenges facing Kenyans are solved such as corruption, contraband sugar, and insecurity,” he said.
The Wiper MP called on the president to ensure Jubilee leaders who are opposed to his handshake with Raila are disciplined.
