After months of hustling in Nairobi you have now been called for a job interview. You are preparing for the day as you hope to impress the interviewing panel.
There are some things that can cost you the job. Never do these four things at an interview
1. Be over-confident
Ensure you control your level of confidence during the interview. Some people are too confident to be told anything. The confidence can make you lose the job. Many employers do not trust overconfident job seekers.
2. Arrive late
The worst mistakes you can make is arriving late for the interview. No one wants to recruit a later comer. You are less likely to get the job if you arrive late for the same.
3. Putting your phone on loud
Always make sure the phone is in silent mode. A loud phone could cause disturbance during the interview. Put off the ringtone before entering the interview room.
4. Use excessive slang words
The use of Sheng words could cost your job. Make sure you avoid these words. Instead, make sure you stick to the official language if you want to impress the panel. No one wants a man who speaks too much sheng at the workplace during an interview.
