Kisii County Governor James Ongwae has fired warning shots at his political opponents who are busy talking of 2022.
The County boss said he has no time to engage rivals who have no work to do.
"Rivals should give me a break because I will not run against them in 2022. I need a peace of mind to fulfil the promises I made during the 2017 polls to the people of Kisii," he noted.
The ODM allied Governor warned residents against falling into the tricks of political brokers ahead of the 2022 polls.
"The electorates should stop attending unnecessary meeting attended by my rivals who instead of talking of development they start talking ill about my leadership. Propaganda won't favour any politician in 2022 general elections," said Ongwae.
He challenged elected leaders from Kisii and Nyamira Counties to give deaf ears to 2017 political losers and focus on development.
"I'm appealing to elected MPs, MCAs and the two senators from the Gusii region to prioritize development. Those who lost in 2017 should consider waiting for 2022 to vie again," added Ongwae.
Ongwae was speaking on Friday when he attended a funeral at Bonyunyu village, Bogichora in Nyamira County.
