Kabogo was responding to a letter that has been making rounds on social media claiming he is among a number of Kenyans wanted by the Interpol police in connection with drug trafficking.

The letter said the mentioned persons had connections with the Akasha brothers that pleaded guilty to drug trafficking in a US court.

"Wale, wanaeneza hii ni mashetani washindwe. Na shangaa mbona watu wengine wanatabia za ngurue? Taka taka (Those spreading this fake letter are evil-minded. I wonder why certain people behave like pigs)," Kabogo said.

After pleading guilty, Baktash Akasha was sentenced to 25 years in prison on August 16.

He was also fined Sh10.3 million for the offence of drug trafficking.

Baktash's younger brother Ibrahim Akasha, who faced similar offenses, will be sentenced this November.

Judge Victor Marrero of the US said he was satisfied with the evidence presented that the two had been smuggling narcotics to the US.

Several politicians in the country, lawyers and even judges are said to have been conduits for the Akasha's drug trade and are being pursued.

Nosy Kenyans on social media have always produced their list on the politicians they suspect of dealing in the illegal business.

Mike Sonko, while appearing on K24's Punchline Show on Sunday August 25, said evil-minded Kenyans have always linked him to drugs but he has never engaged in drug trading.

"I cannot tell you the difference between heroine and unga wa ugali," he said.
