Bongo star Diamond Platnumz has hit out at a section of his countrymen for being envious of his success.
According to Diamond, some Tanzanians are not happy with how he is flying their country flag high with his music.
Taking to social media on Sunday, Diamond said he will personally deal with those who are jealous of his musical success.
"There some Tanzanians who were born to hate seeing other Tanzanians becoming successful and flying the country's flag, but leave them to me, I will personally deal with them (Kuna Baadhi ya Watanzania Wamezaliwa Kuchukia wakiona Watanzania Wenzao Wanafanikiwa na Kuipa Sifa Nchi...ila hao niachieni Mimi, Nitadeal nao)," read Diamond's post in part.
While Diamond did not directly mention the haters he was talking to, it has emerged that the singer was referring to Clouds Media Group, who have been organizing shows similar to Diamond's Wasafi Festivals.
Clouds Media Group will be holding their shows dubbed 'Fiesta' during this December holiday.
Sources in Tanzania say they have dropped their charges to as low as Tsh3000 for advanced tickets and Tsh5000 at the gate, which is equivalent to Ksh150 and Ksh250 respectively.
Diamond said the event organizers have been sneaking into his shows to copy his way of doing things.
"This time round they will charge Tsh100 as entry fee (Ksh5), tell them Dec 7th I will be filling a field in Guine Bissau, Dec 20th Cameroon and then on 25th I will be filling Lake Tanganyika Stadium in Kigoma, they should come in secrecy and learn from my shows like they did in Dar. (Round hii watashusha Viingilio Mpaka viwe shilingi Mia !!...Wambie Jumamosi Dec 7 naujaza Uwanja wa GUINÉ BISSAU... Dec 20th Uwanja wa DOUALA CAMEROON.... half Tareh 25 Dec Naujaza Uwanja wa LAKE TANGANYIKA Stadium KIGOMA!...waje tena kisirisiri kujifunza, kama Walivyokuja ya Dar🙏🏼), he added.
Diamond was in Sierra Leone where he attracted a huge crowd.
