Kenya's entertainment industry is one of the most difficult to venture in. Recently artists were up in arms against media houses for not playing Kenyan music to the fullest.
Naija and Bongo music has greatly dominated our local radio stations.
Well, there are a number of Kenyan artistes who struggle to release good music but never get the much-needed airplay. Most of the musicians have released several hit songs but never won even a single award.
Below is a list of the musicians who have struggled to release hit songs but have no major award to boast of;
1. Masauti
The Coast-bred musician has a number of hit songs such as 'Nurulain', 'Gaga', 'Ipepete' and 'Kiboko'. The singer has been in the industry for close to five years, but his breakthrough came a year ago after Jalang'o volunteered to market his music. Many would expect Masauti to have one or two awards, but he has never won an award.
