On Wednesday, Miguna said that the allegations do not hold sense since he behaved himself.

He accused the government of being unfair to him as he seeks to find his way back home after years of being away.

"Because you (government) took Miguna’s passport illegally from his house in Nairobi. My passport was not lost, and my passport did not expire in 2018 when you took it…you took the passport illegally from me and then went and destroyed it," he said during an interview with Citizen TV on Wednesday night.

The statement of the government has also not augured well with different personalities in the nation.

Lawyer Nelson Havi condemned the allegations by the government terming them baseless.

"Miguna Miguna was not unruly in March, 2018 as misrepresented by Oguna. GoK created an embarrassing domestic and international spectacle by deploying 1,000 heavily armed policemen to disrupt the calm at JKIA. Lawyers will donn the Yellow Ribbon until this matter is settled," he tweeted on Wednesday.

The Government Spokesperson Cyrus Oguna has affirmed that Miguna can only be allowed back into the country if he provides his valid documents to the immigration officers upon landing at JKIA.
