Political commentator and columnist Gabriel Oguda now wants the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to summon and interrogate Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria about the death of former IEBC Director of ICT Chris Msando.

This is after Kuria held a press conference on Monday and distanced himself from the gruesome murder, saying he only reported about Msando's abandoned car after he got a call from 'two women'.

Oguda said the controversial MP needs to be interrogated further and appeared to suggest that detectives should use extra force to make him talk.

"Dear, DCI; Now that this loose nut has started talking, could you kindly summon him to your studios for him to sing like a canary? Be like Nike - Just Do It," the columnist tweeted.

In a press conference at Parliament Buildings in Nairobi, Kuria said on the weekend Msando was reported missing, he was in a function in Murang'a County in the company of area Women Representative Sabina Chege, when he received a call from two women informing him that a vehicle resembling Msando's had been abandoned at Roysambu.

He said they accompanied police to the area the vehicle was reported to be, and after 48 hours they were summoned for interrogation.

“What the police should tell Kenyans is what they did with the investigations. It’s not fair to continue associating me and Sabina with this. We were doing what any reasonable leader would do," Kuria said.

The Jubilee legislator threatened to sue anyone who will continue linking him to the murder which occurred a few days to the disputed August 8, 2017, general election.

The remarks, however, did not go well with Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior, who termed the MP as insensitive, adding he should be pressed to disclose why he was giving the information now, and not when the ex-IEBC boss was murdered.

"It is out of order, insensitive and careless for Hon Kuria to continue talking about Msando’s death in such a perfunctory manner. If he has any information as he purports to, he will ultimately tell us why he didn’t disclose earlier," Mutula tweeted.
