Deputy President William Ruto on Thursday revisited the start of their political journey with President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2013.
Speaking during an interview with NTV at his Karen Home, Ruto said that their purpose was to unite all the Kenyan communities and form a political party that woikd allow them rise to power.
He also said that they never agreed on whether he was going to get his endorsement or not.
The DP insisted that he never had any demand as far as the sucession politics are concerned.
"When we structured political partnershiip we agreed on two things. We agreed that number one, whatever it takes but the way it was not about winning an election or losing an election that is the first time in 2013. We agreed with President Uhuru Kenyatta to get rid of ethnicity, race politics," he said.
He added: "Number two we agreed that will will form a political formation and eventually a political party big enough to carry the aspirations of small communities and big communities and we have achieved both."
Ruto also said that there are some politicians who want to hijack the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
He argued that he is ready to suppor the recommmendations of the BBI report but warned leaders against hypocrisy.
The second in command also said that he will be going for the top seat in 2022 as he had said before.
