The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has made major headway on the investigation concerning the brutal killing of Rai Cement general manager Chetan Vyas.
Through the official DCI twitter, the agency revealed that the three suspects who have been on run since the killing of the tycoon had been arrested
"Three more suspects directly linked to the murder of Chetan Vyas were yesterday arrested at Njoro, Nakuru County by homicide detectives, who also recovered the suspected murder weapon and items stolen from the victim's house on a fateful day," the DCI wrote
The three suspects were Julius Odundo Jowi, a 35 years old man who is also a carpenter at Rai cement, Joseph Mureithi a former Rai company security guard who is now working with the Comply Company and Steven Odhiambo an operator a Comply Company.
Through the comply of CCTV cameras that were recovered on 24th September, it showed the three suspects breaking into the house moments before the killing of Vyas.
DCI also revealed that by the use of CCTV cameras, they recovered clothes the suspects had worn and two mobile phones they used to communicate at the scene.
Also, deceased briefcase and iron box belongings were recovered. The three suspects have been today arraign in court on murder charges.
The arrest of the three suspects increases the number of suspects linked with the murder of the tycoon to eight.
