Governor Mike Sonko's team working with the multi-agency unit to protect Nairobi's riparian land has arrested Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu's wife.
Ms Susan Wangare was among the 15 arrested Wednesday morning over illegal construction of buildings in the city.
Earlier, SOnko had warned his 'friends' that his resolve to reclaim riparian land was not going to be interfered with by friendships.
His utterances came at a time his Kiambu counterpart and friend Waititu argued against the demolitions and instead suggested that rivers could be moved away from the riparian lands to stop demolitions.
On his part, Sonko however warned that the demolitions would continue even if it were to affect himself or other senior members of the central government.
He said that not even Deputy President William Ruto's Weston Hotel would be spared if marked for demolition.
In the morning raids, authorities also arrested owners of Delta Hotel and Jamii Bora building.
