For the second time in as many months, opposition leader Raila Odinga is sharing platform with President Uhuru Kenyatta at Murang'a County.

Early this year, days after reconciling, the duo met at the funeral ceremony of politician Kenneth Matiba in Kiharu constituency.

And on Thursday, the two political protagonist returned to Murang'a for the burial of legendary musician Joseph Kamaru, who died last week after ailing for years.

Mr. Kamaru, initially sang Benga music before embracing gospel in his prime years in music industry.

Throughout his career, he had hot and cold relationship with government due to his political activism staged for social change.

Upon arrival, the two leaders were separately ushered in by Murang'a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria along with host of leaders from the region.

But it's Raila's calculated move to embrace the Mt. Kenya region that could not go without being noticed especially with the company not his political nemesis, Uhuru.

In recent weeks, Mr. Odinga, who is yet to declare his intention on 2022 polls, has met former politicians from Mt. Kenya region.
