Terryanne Chebet, the CEO at Fanaka TV, Kenya’s 24-hour business channel surprised many when she came out to reveal what her first salary was.
Terryanne was responding to a question posted on twitter by Ty @Tyrus who had asked his fans to state what their first salaries were.
“Actress in a school set book (Government Inspector) earned around 1000 bob per play,” Terryanne revealed in a response tweet.
Terryanne seized this opportunity to make people believe that her life into fame hasn’t been that easy. She, too, went through many ups and downs.
She was unceremoniously fired at Citizen TV. However, this didn’t end her dreams of being a TV anchor, speaker, and a moderator.
She was later hired by Fanaka TV where she is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
She has previously worked at CNBC Africa, CCTV Africa, and National Broadcaster KBC.
