Speaking after Algeria beat Mali 4-3 in a friendly, the Algerian talisman said that there will be no excuses against Kenya.

Mahrez said that the Desert Foxes were in good shape physically and ready to take Harambee Stars who are participating in the continental tournament for the first time in 15 years.

"Indeed, on this second match, we feel physically better. As I said in the first game, we gradually build up. After organising his preparation, the coach insisted that we come here knowing the conditions are similar to those we have in Cairo,” Mahrez told DZfOOT according to goal.com.

“For us, it was important to adapt to these conditions and at the end of our training camp here, I think we managed to acclimatize. In addition, we will arrive in Cairo with another week of training on site. From there, we will have no excuses against Kenya," he added.

Kenya's national squad touched down in Cairo, Egypt from Paris, France after playing two friendly matches against Madagascar and DR Congo which ended in a 1-0 win and a 1-1 draw respectively.
