With days before the release of official report on Building Bridges Initiative, Governor John Nyagarama a on Sunday paid tribute to Raila Odinga at President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The two leaders united in March 2018 after six years of cut throat competition coupled with hatred and animosity between their supporters.
BBI team has already drafted a report whose content is yet to be made public. Raila and Uhuru are set to launch the document officially.
At Nyansiongo, Nyagarama hailed the two leaders, arguing that they have led by example and are worthy to be emulated across the African Continent.
The unity, he argued, can only be celebrated if Kenyans support the outcome of the recommendations to avoid future wrangles that could plunge the country into chaos.
"Even at the national level, our leaders Raila and Uhuru have shown by example. Let's embrace one another for the sake of development in Nyamira," he said.
"To be honest, the unity has helped the country to stabilize and it's important that we all support the outcome. Kenya is heading to the right direction," added Nyagarama.
Nyagarama also asked leaders to borrow a leaf from the two and devise ways of solving differences instead of plotting against each other.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga had promised early this year to make their first joint trip in Gusii when the BBI report comes out.
