South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro on Sunday made an impromptu visit to Tabaka mission hospital.
The lawmaker in his visit spent lunchtime interacting with patients at the facility.
Osoro sensitized patients at the hospitals on the need to have an up to date NHIF card to help them when they get sick.
"I appeal to patients who do not have NHIF cards to consider acquiring one because it helps a lot when one has no money to seek medical attention because no one knows when he or she will fall sick," said Osoro.
The legislator also offered to offset some bills after a section of the patients without NHIF card promised to take the insurance scheme serious after discharge.
In matters politics, Osoro maintained that he is not aware of plans by Kenya National Congress (KNC) Party to kick him our the party.
"Hayo ya de-registration hatuyajui. Sisi tuko na wadosi ground, (we know nothing about de-registration claims of de-registration. We are busy with bosses on the ground. May God heal the sick in Jesus' name," Osoro noted.
The youthful MP said he will not stop associating with DP Ruto and no amount of blackmail and intimidation will scare him.
