Top among them include Paul Pogba (Guinea), Samuel Umtiti (Cameroon), Kylian Mbappe (Cameroon), Blaise Matuidi (Congo) and N'Golo Kante (Mali).

Others include Ousmane Dembele (Senegal), Conrentin Tolisso (Congo), Stephen Nzonsi (Congo), Steve Mandada (Congo) and Djibril Sidibe (Mali).

France, who are looking for glory for the first time since 1998, has traditionally had the largest representation of African players in Europe.

In 2002, the team lost to Senegal in the opening match. Four years later, they again lost to Italy at home in finals at Paris.
