A family of murdered form four female student, Elvinah Moracha, has pleaded with police officers to move with speed and ensure the killers are brought to book
Led by Simon Ongido, they said Kenyenya police officers have failed to apprehend the suspect even after the matter was reported to them.
Mr. Ongido said Elvinah will not be buried until the murderer is apprehended to be arraigned in court.
“Police must apprehend the deceased former boyfriend who is the main suspect. As a family we have agreed not to bury Elvinah until the suspect is nabbed," he said.
He faulted locals leaders for giving false pledge to push police officers to arrest the murder.
The family spokesman called on Inspector General of police Joseph Boinnet to intervene and order police officers to arrest the murderer who is a boda boda rider.
"The killer is walking free after he lured Elvinah from a house where she was revising for her KCSE exams, killed her and dumped her body into a fishpond. Boinnet should come into our rescue," he added.
He was speaking on Friday at the family's home in Kenyenya Sub County.
