West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi has warned local traders against selling fake KCSE and KCPE exam papers.
The lawmaker said police officers should be vigilant all the time to deal with rogue traders.
"Exam cheating is an offence which is punishable by law. The coming KCPE and KCSE exams should be free from any malpractice and any trader found hawking fake exam papers must face the full force of the law," he said.
He called urged parents not to fall into tricks of brokers who may be out to demand money from them so that they can sell exam materials.
The NASA allied MP expressed his confidence that Gusii schools will perform well in the exams.
"Candidates from Gusii region in this year's KCPE and KCSE exams will excel. They are in our prayers," he stated.
According to the lawmaker, any security officer found condoning exam irregularities should be sacked and arraigned in court to be charged.
