The National Lands Commission (NLC) has released names of eleven candidates who are set to be interviewed for the post of NLC chairman.
Immediate former KRA Commissioner General John Njiraini is among those who have been invited for an interview, as they seek to replace former NLC boss Muhamed Swazuri.
Other candidates shortlisted for the job include; Naomi Wagereka, former Nyeri MP Esther Murugi, Tiyah Galgalo, Mwenda Makathimo, Humphrey Njuguna, Hussein Farah, Paul Musili, Gerishom Otachi, and Robert Kilimo.
The commission is expected to kick off interviews on Monday, July 29.
NLC has also shortlisted fifty candidates for the post of commissioners after eight vacancies were realized at the commission.
After the interviews, two qualified applicants for the position of chairperson will be shortlisted, and 16 for members, and their names forwarded to the President.
The President will then nominate one person for position of chairman, and eight individuals for position of commissioners at NLC.
After the president's nomination, the names will be taken to Parliament where the candidates will be vetted, and if approved, assume office in their various capacities.
