A Sub-Chief in Rarieda sub-county is in trouble after he was allegedly caught defiling a form two girl heading to church.
The incident is said to have happened on January 11 this year.
Area police boss Thomas Ototo confirmed the incident saying the minor was locked up in a guest house by the administrator on her way to church for one day before releasing her.
He said the minor was taken to Madiany sub-county hospital where she underwent thorough medical examinations and given a P3 form.
"The administrator was accused of defiling the minor on January 11. The victim was later taken to Madiany sub county hospital where she was examined and a P3 form filled," the police boss noted, as quoted by Standard.
"She was allegedly locked up by the chief in a lodging at Nyakongo trading center where she was reportedly defiled before being released the following day at dawn," he added.
The administrator was arrested by the Rarieda sub-county police after the minor's parents decried of delayed justice.
The law provides a punishment of life imprisonment for anyone who defiles a minor below the age of 12, and 15 years or more if the girl is between 13 and 18 years.
