The incident is said to have happened on January 11 this year.

Area police boss Thomas Ototo confirmed the incident saying the minor was locked up in a guest house by the administrator on her way to church for one day before releasing her.

He said the minor was taken to Madiany sub-county hospital where she underwent thorough medical examinations and given a P3 form.

"The administrator was accused of defiling the minor on January 11. The victim was later taken to Madiany sub county hospital where she was examined and a P3 form filled," the police boss noted, as quoted by Standard.

"She was allegedly locked up by the chief in a lodging at Nyakongo trading center where she was reportedly defiled before being released the following day at dawn," he added.

The administrator was arrested by the Rarieda sub-county police after the minor's parents decried of delayed justice.

The law provides a punishment of life imprisonment for anyone who defiles a minor below the age of 12, and 15 years or more if the girl is between 13 and 18 years.
