Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday accused former Prime Minister Raila Odinga of allegedly being an impedance to growth in the country.
In a veiled attack on Mr Odinga, Dr Ruto insisted that Kenyans do not have issues with the current constitution, adding that Mr Odinga is the only major problem.
The DP asked Building Bridges Initiative to collect opinions from Mr Odinga over what he wants changed in the current constitution for ratification.
At Naromoru, the DP said Mr Odinga should in future learn to concede defeats instead of blaming the constitution for his own defeats.
"Throughout the country, nobody seems to be having issues with the constitution. However, the problem we have, someone's loses in polls and refuses to accept defeat.
"Everybody else conceded defeat apart from one person we defeated. Let's not take people round and round. BBI should collect views from this person so that we know what he wants changed. We want him to be accepting defeat in future," he said.
Mr Odinga is currently pushing for constitutional amendments, a move which has rattled the DP. He insists that the country cannot afford to go to next polls without changes.
At Migori on Friday, Mr Odinga backed the BBI team, insisting that Kenyans will use the final draft to come up with necessary changes in the Constitution.
“We have some counties which are still reluctant on the matter, we want our people to lead so that judgment can be made that we don’t know Punguza Mizigo and what we know is BBI,” said Raila.
