Going for Afro-pop was a new thing for the Bongo star whose songs have made a habit of garnering 1 million views in just a day.
Diamond has established himself as one of the top artists in East Africa, with the largest number of followers on social media platforms.
The song 'Yope Remix' garnered over 1 million views in just 24 hours.
This was, however, a drop as compared to his other hit ''Kanyaga' which garnered over 1 million views in just 13 hours after it was posted on YouTube.
Diamond has also been able to establish one of the biggest records labels in East Africa, the Wasafi Classic Baby, widely referred to as WCB.
Despite the fact that he comes from Tanzania, Diamond, aside from dating Kenyan media personality Tanasha Donna, also enjoys a huge fan base in the country.
