The exclusion of former Nyakach MP Peter Odoyo in the list of Kisumu County Public Service Board has caused more uproar in Nyakach community.
Leaders in the constituency that comprises youth, women and ODM party members met at Katito to deliberate over the issue.
Speaking to the press after the meeting, Bernard Omondi Ouko, a former councilor says the community was promised two slots, that of the deputy governor and chair of the Board which should be obeyed till the next general elections.
Ouko says the community has been shortchanged in the chairmanship position of the Board and will not stop complaining over the exclusion.
He added that they are not against any Nyakach resident who is employed in the county but they are only particular on the slot they were promised.
Former Nyando County Council chairman Omondi Owako, says they are ready to sacrifice the positions the community has to remain with the two slots.
Owako further added that its already in their dormain that already people are being employed in the county yet the public service board has not been constituted.
On the other hand,Mary Achieng Denga, speaking on behalf of the women appealed to Governor Anyang Nyong’o to rescind his decision and implement the campaign pledge.
Denga says the community will be at peace that day Odoyo will be included in the Board as the chairman.
