A middle aged man was on Saturday lynched by angry villagers after he was allegedly caught pants down with his neighbour's daughter.
The incident happened at Metamaywa in Nyamira County.
It is alleged that Fred Abuya has been having an affair with the neighbor's daughter for the last 2 years.
"Fred has been warned several times to stop chasing the neighbor's daughter who is in class 8 for a relationship, but all has been in vain. On Saturday, he lured her into his house after her parents left for church. Upon the parents' return, they found their daughter missing from home and launched a search," said Nyumba Kumi chairperson Ruth Kemunto Onderi.
Ms Onderi said the parents mobilized locals who stormed Abuya's house, where they found the two in the act.
"Angry villagers frogmarched the deceased from his house while naked and took him to a nearby roadside where they resolved to lynch him," she said.
Borabu police boss Michael Lesmum confirmed the incident, adding that the man died at the scene.
He warned locals against taking the law into their hands.
The body was moved to Nyamira county hospital morgue.
