Two of his drivers were arrested and charged in a court of law for allegedly blocking the Head of State's motorcade along Mombasa Road.

The flamboyant county boss strongly rejected the allegations, adding that President Uhuru Kenyatta left the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport before he did and there is absolutely no way he could have overtaken the presidential convoy.

He rejected the allegations when he appeared on Tony Gachoka's Pointblank show aired on KTN, on Wednesday.

According to him, his drivers did not commit the offence of blocking the presidential motorcade as is being alleged.

"My driver never blocked the president's motorcade as is alleged,"he said.

Sonko said the respect he has for the Head of State would not allow him to disrespect President Kenyatta in any way.

He further noted that had it not been for President Kenyatta, he would not have been the governor of Nairobi.
