In an interview with Citizen TV on Monday, Okango said that Kenyans are tired of bad leadership, adding that the proposals will change the lives of millions of Kenyans.

He noted that the resistance of the bill has been stage-managed by politicians. He also said that the leaders are in for a rude shock because the push for a referendum is unstoppable.

“The ‘Punguza Mzigo’ journey has just started and will not stop, most of the resistance against the bill is from politicians. I can assure Kenyans that we are coming for every politician that believes political seats are jobs,” he said.

He also lamented that the country has continued to lag behind in terms of development because of the loopholes in the constitution.

Okango noted that unless there are some changes made in the Constitution, efforts by  Kenyans will not bear fruits.

He castigated leaders who have been fighting Thirdway Alliance leader Dr Ekuru Aukot’s push for constitutional review.

“The economy of this country is suffering because our priorities are not in the right place. The priorities made do not solve issues of the common “mwananchi”, he added.
