Speaking at Kwa-Kilui shopping centre in Kitui Rural, Ngilu said she is not ready to engage politicians in side shows at the expense of development.

The first-term governor opined that she does not have time engaging in political wars with her critics when taxpayers are waiting for projects to be implemented.

Governor Ngilu insisted that she was elected to perform and not respond to her critics on different platforms including social media and funerals among others.

“The assembly and other bent politicians want to derail my development agenda for Kitui people. But I want to tell them they are misplaced. I won’t listen to background noise,” said Ngilu as quoted by Standard.

Ngilu further noted that she has good plans for the people of Kitui before he first term ends, adding that she needs the support of the people and other local leaders to make her dreams come true.

In the past, she decried frustration from MCAs allied to the Wiper Party led by former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka.
