An elected Member of Parliament in Kisii County allied to opposition NASA has accused her rivals of unnecessary criticism.
Kisii County MP Janet Ong'era while addressing mourners during the burial of the departed Kisii Governor James Ongwae's uncle Elder Johnsilas Achoki Nyaberi in Bonyunyu village, Bogichora, Nyamira County said she will not condone rivals.
"I will not look back and listen to rivals who are out to achieve a hidden agenda by spreading propaganda about me. Kisii residents elected me to represent them at the national assembly," she noted.
Ms. Ong'era reiterated that rivals won't dictate her since they didn't elect her.
"I campaigned and wooed Kisii electorate alone, therefore, I will only take instructions from voters but, not selfish rivals. All the promises I made to people during the 2017 campaigns must be fulfilled before 2022," she vowed.
According to the vocal lawmaker, she is a peace ambassador adding that she had no time to engage politicians interested in 2022 polls.
"I will continue empowering the youth, women and people living with disabilities instead of talking of 2022 which is far away," she added.
