Former presidential candidate and socio-political activist Nazlin Umar has weighed in on the gruesome discovery that was made by Governor Sonko yesterday at Pumwani Hospital of dead infants in boxes.
Writing on his Facebook account Monday, Umar made shocking claims about what happens at the renowned maternity hospital.
According to her, the facility is a conduit for human trafficking where children are killed and replaced with trafficked children.
"With specialist eyes, I see Pumwani hospital as a clear conduit for child trafficking from neighbouring countries and within. They have the market and to sustain their gravy train, they are killing babies to replace them with trafficked children so as to enrich themselves and keep this trade of killing babies, alive. Sorry to say. The fact in evidence here would be why dispose off the babies without record, in paper bags and not register their deaths nor give them to their mothers for burial?? Even IF the mothers did not wish to have their babies bodies, which is an impossibility given African culture, religion and family orientations, they still needed to be in the mortuary, not hidden in bags for secret disposal," she posted.
She called on law enforcement officers to bring all those involved in the shady business to book.
Sonko's discovery caused quite a stir on social media as Kenyans called for strong action to be taken.
The top management of the hospital was suspended to allow for investigations.
