According to a study conducted in the United States and whose results were released on Monday, every one person in a group of five admitted being subjected to this nature of the harassment.

Among the harm reported was physical injuries and property damage caused by the intoxicated persons, with most of the victims being of the female gender.

According to the Journal of Studies in Alcohol and Drugs, about 53 million people reported being affected by the same in one way or the other in 2015.

Most of the female victims admitted that they were harassed by their drunk loved ones, while men, on the other hand, reported being hurt by strangers and not necessarily familiar persons.

However, it is worth noting that the respondents were only asked about that specific year, meaning that others would have been subjected to more in the previous years.
