The arrest of State House digital secretary Dennis Itumbi should be a wake-up call to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, firebrand lawyer Miguna Miguna has warned.
Itumbi spent Wednesday night at Muthaiga Police Station after he was arrested by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on allegations of being behind an alleged fake letter detailing the assassination plot of Deputy President William Ruto.
According to Miguna, the renowned blogger, who has been a close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta for over a decade, was arrested as the 'collateral damage' in the 'proxy war' the Head of State has allegedly declared on his deputy Ruto.
The incident, Miguna stated, demonstrates that Uhuru has no brother or friend, and therefore, both Raila and Kalonzo should be very careful in their dealings with him.
"Both Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka vied against despot Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2013 and 2017 elections. Uhuru Kenyatta tortured, maimed and killed thousands of their supporters. But they betrayed them for crumbs as "envoys." Tomorrow, they will be like Dennis Itumbi. Mark my words!" the lawyer tweeted.
