In the one minute video, a boy probably in primary school is seen struggling to walk and takes a rest within school compound as a teacher interrogates him.

While the authenticity of the video could not be immediately established, the teacher asks the boy in mother tongue several questions which he however, answers.

"To be honest, I am drunk. I took two cups of Chang'aa. I'll tell you where I got it. But I can assure you than my family is strict non can give me liquor," he says in Ekegusii dialect.

"I slept at home. I have never slept outside our home. I have the key to my house with me here. The house is only accessible to me only," he tells the teacher.

Asked whether he has been taking food before taking the liquor, the drunk boy rules out taking supper but says he has preferred taking leftovers in the morning.

Nyamira County Commissioner Amos Mariba in an exclusive interview on Sunday termed the video clip embarrassing and vowed to investigate it.

"It's very embarrassing. I have also seen it. It appears that it was taken in Nyamira or Kisii but we shall get to the bottom of the matter," said Mariba.

Mr Mariba is a crusader of the fight against illicit brew and has managed to have thousands of litters destroyed in the last two months.

In a past trip to Nyamira, Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i ordered administrators to crack whip on those engaging in illicit brew business.
