Deputy President Dr William Ruto descended on Kericho County on Saturday.
In his visit, he commissioned 2 roads before addressing the residents of Lilloch and Kapsorok.
The commissioning of the 2 roads was revealed by the country's second in command on his Twitter account.
"Commissioned the two roads, addressed residents in Lilloch and Kapsorok, Kericho County, " the DP wrote.
The deputy president said that the Jubilee government was upgrading the roads in the country as part of the much-touted Vision 2030 and the Big Four Agenda that is being pursued by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"We are upgrading our road networks across the country as a basis of our transformation agenda through the Big Four and the Vision 2030, " he said.
The roads, he contended, would go a long way in enhancing connectivity between cities and would open up businesses in the rural areas.
"The construction and rehabilitation of roads is opening up rural areas for business, easing congestion, reducing travel time as it enhances connectivity in cities, urban areas and municipalities, " he added.
Kericho County is, by and large, considered to be the deputy president's political turf.
He will be counting on the residents to vote for him in 2022 when he makes a stab at the president.
