Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria is rooting for faster implementation of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.
Speaking during an interview with NTV on Tuesday, Kuria said that the report should be implemented so that the nation can move forward.
He reiterated that he is fully behind the report, adding that time has come for the nation to address the issue of the economy.
"We are very supportive of the BBI. But, we want it done and dusted so that we can move to other things. The economy is the most important thing,” Kuria said.
The lawmaker also said that he has nothing against the contents of the report, adding that it will have a positive impact on the lives of Kenyans upon implementation.
"But there is nothing harmful in it either" he added.
The implementation of the BBI report has caused a storm in the nation. Deputy President William Ruto allies wanted the report implemented in parliament and other levels of government but later changed their tune.
On the other hand, ODM leader Raila Odinga’s camp has been advocating for a referendum. The team argues that the report originates from the people and hence should be taken back to them.
