Secretary of Innovation, Digital and Diaspora Communication in the Office of the President Dennis Itumbi has weighed in on claims that Deputy President William Ruto lacks a stand on matters of national interest.
In a tweet, Itumbi said claims that Ruto is known for doublespeak are unwarranted.
He said that the DP has been on spot for no good reason because his political rivals want him finished before 2022.
This is after #Rutodoublespeak started trending on Twitter on Thursday.
“It is that time of the month, when the choir that sings disjointed lyrics, of a known song, performs on the stage of Hashtags. RUTO DOUBLE SPEAK is to paraphrase Shakespeare, too much noise, too many tweets, that SIGNIFY NOTHING! We wish the choir well - ahead of their next ACT!” he tweeted.
Kenyans online have been contributing towards the hashtag by recalling incidences where DP Ruto took different stands on a number of issues he was either for or against in the past.
Kenyans on Twitter also took issues with his 'hustler' tag noting that he is not the definition of a Kenyan hustler.
